Letter to Congress: Invest in our Nation’s Youngest Learners

The Southern Education Foundation and several allies for equity in early childhood education wrote a letter to the U.S. Congress expressing our strong support for the Head Start program and urging immediate action to preserve and strengthen the critical investment in our nation’s youngest learners. As discussions continue regarding potential budget cuts to Head Start, we emphasize the necessity of maintaining and expanding this vital program to serve children and families across the country—particularly in historically under-resourced regions like the South.
